Day-specific closing date for sales projects

Until now it was not possible to enter the exact day for the expected closing date of a sales project. SELLSATION allows you to choose between the selection of the month and the exact date. The advantage of this feature is that every user can decide how they you want to enter the closing date for each project.

A little digression on how we handle this within the database:

When entering the closing date based on the month, the value for each day is set to 1. As a result, if you a have a sales project with a closing date in May 2020, it will be entered in the database as 1.5.2020.

Modify an existing sales project:

In the picture below you can see that the closing date is seen in the form 10/2019 (October 2019):

If we want to change the closing date exactly to October 21, 2019, we have to edit this project in order to change the date. Here you see the field Closing date with the monthly value. Next to it you will see a small cogwheel, which lets you change the setting for the project.

Click on the cogwheel to make your choice

In this case, as soon as you click on the option "Closing date by day", the display will be change to 01.10.2019:

Now you can either enter the date directly or press the date selection button to select a date from the calendar directly.

Change to date entry for a new sales project:

Here you would follow the same procedure mentioned above. The only difference is, that SELLSATION remembers the last selected setting and will keep it as such until you change the setting for a new project.
