In this post you can see how customer and contact data as well as project data can be exported from SELLSATION in simple steps. The prerequisite for this is that you are authorised to use the import / export menu. To do this, switch to the administration menu and select the menu item Export .
Here you will find the options for selecting the data to be exported:
Option 1 : You can manually select individual customers or projects for export. Click on "Use filter to select projects" on the top right and select "Select Projects or Customers directly":
You can then select individual customers or projects by entering the customer or project name:
Option 2 : Use the filter to select all customers or projects that meet certain criteria:$
Through the selection box above, you can decide whether you want to export customer or project data. In the areas below, you can enter filter criteria for the respective entity (customer or project) to select the data to be exported.
Click Preview to check the selection in advance and export data if you are satisfied with the selection.The export file is prepared by SELLSATION and downloaded to your hard disk. As a rule, the exported data is saved in the download folder of your computer. The file format is CSV.
Export configuration
We have described above how you can select data for export. Now we will show you how you can compile the data fields of your export in order to obtain the desired result.
On the same screen above you will see a drop down box for selecting a saved export configuration. Please note that configurations stored for import are also available for export.
If there are no export configurations within your client yet, you can create a new configuration by clicking on the "+". Click on the pencil icon to change an existing configuration.
After clicking on the plus (or pencil), the window for creating (or editing) a configuration will open.
In the future, the saved configurations will be shown in the left empty field (see below). On the right, you have to enter a name, under which you can select access permissions for the configuration. Below that you will see a drop-down field that lets you select the desired fields for customers, contacts and projects to be exported. Select a field and click the "+" to the right of the dropdown to include the field in the configuration.
In the list below you will see the selected fields:
To change the arrangement of the selected fields, you can use your mouse to move the individual fields using drag & drop (or click on the blue arrows in the respective field). By clicking on the blue "x" the field is deleted from the list.
Click Save to save the configuration and access settings, or Save As to give the configuration a new name.
If you have already saved several configurations as shown above, you can select the desired configuration for editing (same function as clicking on the pencil in the export screen) by clicking on it (highlighted in blue). The order can be changed by Drag & Drop. A configuration is deleted by clicking on the "x" on the right.
From this window you can also select a specific configuration for export. Select the desired one and click on Close, the configuration will be displayed in the export window and can be used from there.
